The idea of ​​building musical instruments arose after a trip to the Isle of Wight (UK) in October 2018 from instrument-making workshop organized inside a beautiful Benedictine abbey nestled in the woods of Ryde. The quiet of that timeless place, the scent of wood, the warm colors of autumn and the numerous presence of red squirrels were the seeds that brought forth something that was already inside us. And how could we call our label if not Red Squirrel Instruments, in honor of the red squirrels we met every day? Symbolically, the squirrel is considered a solar, energetic species, source of passion and vitality, all qualities that distinguish us and that we want to transmit to all the musical instruments we build with love and care of every detail.
